“You were my favorite neighbor in lakepointe for four years. I always remember coming home soo late at night and you would be sitting on your front steps and I would come and talk to you for a little while. I would always ask you “Sim-sima, who got the keys to mah beamah?” I wish we could go back to then, but i know you are in a better place now. I keep you in my heart and my thoughts and prayers. I wont ever forget you, you were a wonderful friend and I know I will see you again. I love you.”

“Damn Sim, you really left us… I miss you soooo much. I can’t stop thinking about you. You were such a great friend. You helped me through so much in life. You were the one guy I felt I could turn to for anything and now you aren’t there anymore. It was the best thing having you live 1 light down from me. Now everytime I cross your house I feel like I’m going to see you turn out,, it hurts so much to know you aren’t here anymore. Remember that I’ll always love you.
When I saw you in the coffin I didn’t want to believe it. You looked so peaceful. As if you were taking a nap and would wake up..
You deserved the best in life. I’m sure you’re in God’s safe arms. No one can hurt you now.”
Tehniat C.

“Hey Sim,
you know we knew each other for many years, but out of all the moments we shared, the ones I remember the most are from when you brightened some of my worst days with your contagious smile. remember when I was stressing about my art hw at the gurdwara, you were the only one who came up to me; making fun of my drawing but encouraging me too. you had a sixth sense for sensing when someone was down and then making them laugh through it. even though we haven’t spoken for some years, little things here and there always reminded me of you and still do. last couple of days I knew you were there, holding us up during the worst. I miss you…”
Anantpreet D.
“I wont forget the good times we had together. from playin with toy cars 10 years ago to playin basketball a few months ago. i always looked up to you from the beginning. you were one of the first people my mind can remember being cool with, and on top of that one of the truest. you were one of my idols from childhood and you still will be forever. r.i.p. bro I love you and I’ma miss you.”
Karan S.

“Sim…..I remember the time when on my engagement you asked me if you could walk behind me with Bassit. When I told you that I was going to ask you that anyway, you had the biggest smile on your face. The littlest things would make you happy. You definitely broke it down that day. Playing Soul Calibur at my house with Bassit always whooping both of our butts. And every time I would lecture you….you would either look down with respect or make direct eye contact with me until I had stopped talking. Thats what I loved about you….I love you little bro, RIP.”
Huda B.
“Hey Sim, It was really hard to see you today… MY GOD your really gone, WTF.

“Remembering You
We thought of you today,
But that is nothing new
We thought of you yesterday
And will tomorrow, too
We think of you in silence
And make no outward show
For what it meant to lose you
Only those who love you know
Remembering you is easy
We do it everyday
It’s the heartache of losing you
That will never go away.”
Khurrum M.

“I met Sim when I was 14 years old–first boy I ever dated. One thing I’ll always remember about him is how consistently sweet he was to me. He always made me feel special. I spoke with him just two weeks ago and he mentioned that he wanted to live a more positive life. I still cannot fathom the fact that you are no longer here with us but I wish you nothing but peace.
I will never forget you Sim and you are so special to me always.”

“I’m going to miss you man, we grew up together, punjabi class, middle school and then part of high school until I moved away…I remember in punjabi class we use to goof around, and talk the entire time - talk about when we get older how things are going to be and how one day we will be living the dream, and in school we use to joke around about dumb things that made no sense. The culture programs at Gurdwara, camps, and everything else. It’s sad to see you gone I was blessed to have a brother like you by my side…love ya bro rest in peace.”

But your not, you’re gone and I really pray that wherever you are that you are recieving all the love and prayers that are coming your way from all of us. I am going to try to help your family as much as I can through this tough time. I have been thinking a lot these past few days “why?? why did this happen..he was so young, it was too early.” But I have to believe that you are in a better place and that God has a bigger and better plan for you. I found a picture of us at your graduation party, I put it on my dresser. You are such a handsome kid and I will look at that pic every morning as I am brushing my hair and think of you. Most of us remember Simran as an easy going guy with an amazing sense of humor. Some of us went to school with him, some of us might be related to him, and some just met him through friends, at the end of the day Simran touched each one of us in a special way that had an everlasting impact on our lives. His smile and personality always lit up any room. The loss of Simran Singh was devastating for everyone. It’s as if a part of us was taken, a son, a brother, and a friend. Simran, take care, and look down upon us from heaven as we will miss you and cherish the unforgettable memories.
